Wrong conclusion drawn from a legitimate fear. 👇🏻
The real answer is: we should be able to depend on the EU to get us our vaccines on time.
Going it alone won’t ever work, connected as we are. Up to the @vonderleyen Commission to prove cooperation dóes work !
“We shouldn’t depend on the EU when it comes to vaccine production”, said @sebastiankurz as he flew to Israel with the Danish prime minister. Good morning, Europe... https://www.diepresse.com/5944811/kurz-will-sich-bei-impfstoffen-nicht-mehr-auf-eu-verlassen

Janez Jansa’s onslaught on free media continues 👇🏻
Can the European Commission and Council act before Slovenia takes the EU presidency and becomes the third anti-democratic spoiler after Poland and Hungary ? 🙏🏻 ... See MoreSee Less
The east European countries have no democracy tradition. They just fulfilled the requirements to join EU. But democracy is not in their blood. If you ask people their what is Democracy, you often get the answer "everyone can do whatever he wants" There is a lot of education and information necessary!
Janša‘s attacks on journalists are simply counterproductive. They change nothing to the better. Despite this rather unwarranted and disturbing element, Slovenia remains a story of success, contrary to Poland’s and Hungary’s reactionary respectively fascistoid regimes.
Janez Janša's political culture - or rather an appalling lack of it - is a disgrace for our country. By parroting Orban's authoritarian politics and Trump's dirty war against any journalists who dares to publicly criticize him or his politics, and by disregarding evidence and facts in public arguments, Janša and his party have become the most serious threat to Slovenian democracy we have seen so far in the young history of Slovenian statehood. It is bound to get worse before it gets better.
Not quite - I understand the point, but I have too much respect for REAL journalists to go with this
It seems like decency & honesty in Politics are fading away! Trump set free and back on Political arena, spreading lies & propaganda again. I thank God for my religious world & net. 😢😢😢
If you repeat a lie often enough it becomes Brexit !
while champagne socialists/and far right activists run on populist agendas, honest workers struggle to make a living, and worry about the bleak future for their children, fermenting a viscous circle of disenchantment, anger and resentment.
Textbook wannabe dictator: first attack the press, then lie all you want without anyone trusting anything anymore.
There are some tabloids who have turned journalism into a subtle form of misleading biased information
Europe is not what you imagining Guy, but what people want it to be... Might be upsetting decision for you, but here is democracy for you, can't pick and choose as u pleased
"If you repeat a lie often enough it becomes politics" is the Banksy quote. Journalism isn't the enemy, the tax avoiding billionaires who buy politicians to maximise personal profit are. The root of journalism is to display accurate accounts of what has occurred. However, the owners of the tabloids maximise their own personal profits by disallowing the discovered truths to be told.
Freedom of speech, I don't see a problem if that's what he truly thinks, in a free and democratic society he's entitled to say whatever he wants as long as he's not enciting violence.
Perfect description of Boris Johnson’s past :) But what can you do after you got fired for numerous lies? You can only run the country. Nobody else would hire you ;)
But if the media is bias and lacks objectivity on certain key issues, then what? As far as pro-democratic people like me go, everyone has the right to express him/her self, especially a non-profit politician. But when a private for profit news outlet is not doing its job and is ideologically bias, then what? Then what?
Send them to the Gulag if they dare to dissent from the EU Masters. No place for democracy or alternative views in the EU Reich.
How dare Slovenia hold the position of the EU Presidency, when their elected politicians have the wrong opinions and therefore must be removed and silenced in favour of an acceptable country, with an acceptable leader.
Indeed, you only have to read the 'New European' or 'The Guardian' to realise that. Interesting that the Hungary, Poland and Slovenia Heads were all elected Democratically, whereas, the only two Heads voted in undemocratically and not by the people were, Kim Jong Un and Ursula Von der Leyen.Very telling
He speaks the truth. Nowadays the media is a propaganda machine!
Thats been happening in the UK for some time and getting worse.
Unfortunately true. Where is the legislation demanding accountability and transparency?
I don't know in other EU nation but it is true in italy, many journals are clearly aligned with parties and if you read the same news from two journals of different parties it won't look the same news at all.
It is not up to us guy. You in our Parliament have the levers to pull. Pull the damn things while you have a socialist country in the EU presidency with a full understanding of the issues here.
It becomes British Journalism. If that is not a warning flag what is.
Looking at you, toxic British press...
Murdoch journalism. He said ''Workers of the world read shite, you have nothing to lose but your brains''.
What’s your favorite bridge in Europe? 🌉🇪🇺
Did you know that the #bridges on our euro banknotes are fictional? But would it not be far better that the @europeancentralbank replaces these fictional bridges with real monuments and artefacts of #Europe and European culture? As I proposed already years ago in a book “For Europe” together with Dany Cohn Bendit, the Ponte Vecchio in Firenze or even the Tower Bridge in London are not only Italian or British, but also common European heritage. Hereby my personal choice of real bridges for the next generation of euro banknotes:
Ponte Vecchio (Firenze 🇮🇹 )
Pont du Gard (Uzès-Nîmes 🇫🇷 )
Öresund (Sweden🇸🇪 - Denmark🇩🇰)
Karlův Most (Praha 🇨🇿 )
Stari Most (Mostar 🇧🇦 )
Koningshavenbrug (Rotterdam 🇳🇱)

It's in the interests of both parties that there is a deal eventually. Most important now for the EU not to panic, not to give in on fair competition after #Brexit. Our companies need this, also on fish 🐟
I also ask negotiator Michel Barnier and his team to unilaterally extend Eramus to UK students after Brexit. They love Europe, they all want the UK back into the European family.
Let's not make them the victims of a Brexit they didn't choose ! ...
Banning veggie burgers ? Surely not.
I've always disliked government being patronising. It's one of the reasons why we founded the 'VLD – Partij van de Burger' all those years ago.
A burger's a burger, however you like it....
... and the Common Agricultural Policy holds plenty of more important measures to make sure both farmers and consumers get the most out of Europe's farming sector ! 🌾 🍔 🚜 ...
